ALDERSGATE LAKE PROPERTY...

Aldersgate's families and organizations can enjoy our lake property at Lake Thurmond, just twenty minutes away in Modoc, South Carolina. The facilities include a bath house, bunk house, boat dock, and plenty of camping and picnic space. Maps and keys can be obtained from the church office.

DIRECTIONS...
The lake property is located in Modoc, SC, approximately 20 miles from Augusta. Take Hwy. 28 to Modoc and make a left turn on Gilbreth Ferry Rd. at Bussey's Store after you pass the post office on the left. (There is a sign at the turnoff for the Trinity-on-the-Hill lake property) Follow that road for one mile. The entrance to the Aldersgate property is on the right and is marked by a rectangular, wooden sign. There is a public boat ramp on the left about 3/4 mile past the entrance to the property.

RECREATION

SOFTBALL...

Men's and women's teams are organized during the year - a great way to combine fellowship and exercise! Be sure to come out and support the Aldersgate team!

Sassy Sisters (A new group open to ALL)...

Seven Sassy Sisters met Thursday, May 10, to SIT and SEW for SAILORS and SOLDIERS and will continue to meet every Thursday at 10 a.m. We are making banners for the windows of families whose loved ones are serving in the military. Bring your sewing machine and the usual sewing supplies. Fabric will be furnished. If you do not sew, you can cut fabric, or press the pieces, as others sew. We would love to have more Sassy Sisters join us in this worthwhile endeavor. James will have a cart in the hall outside the Family Life Center, so park in back and load your machines on the cart to be rolled to Room A-4. Any questions? Call Helen Marie Kirby at (706) 447-8744 or e-mail at hmk714@bellsouth.net.
